PENCIL/PAPER TEST FORMS¶

Are Pencil/Paper test forms available in lieu of computer-based testing? Who may use them?¶

Paper test forms are available. However, because the digital student interface provides many advantages that are not available on pencil/paper test forms (computer-adaptive assessment, embedded accessibility tools, technology enhanced test items), schools are strongly encouraged to use the computer delivered assessments whenever possible. Ppencil/paper test forms are available as an accommodation for individual students who have difficulty interacting with computers, and in schools that lack sufficient internet access or devices(although this is uncommon). All requests for large numbers of paper tests are reviewed by the AOE.
